John Boag of Huntington Beach, whose letter, "Is anybody out there sober?," Local News, Aug. 13, obviously did not do his homework on the various classes of anti-depressants. Prozac in no way impairs a person's judgment and has helped million of people who could not - or should not - be prescribed other classes of anti-depressants. It does not cause a "high" or other distortion of a person's judgment. And it is certainly not to be included in association with the real damage that alcohol can do. I hope other readers of Boag's letter, who have been offended by it and helped by Prozac, as I have been, as well as members of the medical community, respond to his letter with the truth about Prozac.
