Cloud To the editor: When I read the Aug. 27 Chronicle article, "L.A. police criticized after mix-up in raid, shooting death of Latino," it sounded just like Houston to me. We had the shooting of Pedro Navarro Oregon, the shooting of a mental patient armed with a stick in a paper sack and the shooting of an unarmed man at a bus stop -- sounds like Los Angeles. In Los Angeles it was said, "The phenomenon of unjustifiable police homicides is something that is recurring at an alarming level." Sounds like Houston. The FBI needs to continue to investigate the shootings in Houston, just as in Los Angeles. B.L. CLOUD Houston
