French Having had a friend who was a lawyer specializing in drug cases, I have been aware of the tendency of the police towards committing perjury during drug trials. The attitude taken by the prosecution has generally been; who are you going to believe, the accused, a lowly drug user, or the police officer, an upstanding member of the community.
