I have just read your editiorial (on the internet ),"California's
Disastrous Incarceration Frenzy".

I appreciate the courage it took to print this editorial. In this War on
Drugs, it is comforting to see a main-stream publication willing to take a
stand on the issue of imprisonment that the draconian measures the war on
drugs causes.

I can not comprehend any rational to defend what obviously is racist
application of laws, some of the laws so unjust as to make the founders of
our great country turn in their graves.
