I can hear dissenters saying: "But won't this cause more drug use?" Maybe it will, but at least the users will be getting an unadulterated product that will not contain fentanyl, drain cleaner or whatever else the criminals are lacing their illicit product with. Secondly, make the drugs as cheap as aspirin and as readily available, thereby bringing the criminal element to its knees and at the same time saving lives. In the days of prohibition, alcohol didn't go away; it was handed to the criminals along with a licence to print money. Violence, pain, suffering and destroyed lives proliferated. I believe a medical approach to the drug problem is a win-win situation. Bruce Funk Campbell River - --- MAP posted-by: Jay Bergstrom
