Wolansky CARL ANDERSON DOING NOTHING WRONG I am a medicinal marijuana user. I know I am not the only person in Kamloops. I have met many other very sick people who regularly use cannabis for a variety of ailments, from cancer patients to people with MS, and everything in between. Our only source for safe medication has been taken from us and forces some out to the nearest street corner drug dealer; the people that are unable to leave the safety of their homes do not even have that option, so they stay home and suffer, unless they can find an "honest " drug dealer to deliver, that puts the most vulnerable at obviously greater risk. So, what happens now? The police have raided and closed down Kamloops' only safe source for medications. I don't want to be forced out to the streets and risk any number of things, the obvious being arrested, or beat up and robbed or buying cannabis that's not clean and safe. Google "compassion clubs" and you will find at least a dozen in B.C. and over 100 for all of Canada. Was Mr. Anderson really doing anything wrong? As far as his customers are concerned, no, he was not. I am having a hard time with this. Why do the police seem to overlook the obvious drug dealers and persecute a man who is doing nothing more than trying to provide a safe environment and product to those in need? Some may call it selective enforcement. Perhaps RCMP can suggest a reliable street corner drug dealer where these people can go. Seems to me this whole thing has done nothing more than put the power right back into the hands of organized crime and left the sick people feeling sicker and the dying suffering needlessly. Please, help end the prohibition. S. WOLANSKY Kamloops - --- MAP posted-by: Matt
