Who gave our government the right to tell someone who is in pain 24-7, and the only thing that works for them is medicinal marijuana, that it's not legal or to make it real hard to get. The reason the American Medical Association gave for why it won't condone medical marijuana is because it's an inhalant. Well excuse me, aren't cigs an inhalant and one of the biggest killers we have? When asked why they were legal, she (the AMA rep) said, "Because they are and that's how it is." Really? "That's how it is," now that sure was a profound answer, wasn't it? Our government would rather have these people hooked on the "legal prescribed" drugs such as oxycodone, morphine, methadone, etc. They look and act as if they are zombies but hey, they're not hurting. This works for some not all. For those it doesn't work for, and who don't want to get hooked on script pills, why deny them what works for them? Most of these folks have fought in our wars for our country so we can all be free. Really? Free? Marijuana has been around for thousands of years and has been proven to help those hurting from whatever ails them. Also this so-called drug war that our government is and has been losing has been costing the taxpayers big bucks, and things haven't changed much since they started 20 or so years ago. Legalize and tax it. Our economy wouldn't be as bad as today and our jails wouldn't be overcrowded due to petty drug arrests. Most druggies are non-violent, peace-loving citizens. They don't need to be locked up where they learn worse crimes than what they are in for. It's got a lot to do with the fact that every time someone gets locked up, you're providing a law enforcer a paycheck. Do the math. Go figure.
