GOD SAYS POT IS 'NOT BAD'

THE EDITOR:

I truly respect Deborah Joyce's opinion ('Pot affects motivation, 
memory,' Dec. 30) who thinks cannabis (marijuana) is bad. However 
roughly half of the population believes the plant should be 
legalized. Tens of millions of North Americans use cannabis and don't 
experience "amotivational" problems. I fear cannabis prohibitionists 
are doing more harm to the continent than the plant could ever do.

Someone else who believes cannabis is not bad is God, the Ecologician 
who indicates He created all the seed-bearing plants, saying they are 
all good (on the very first page of the Bible: Genesis 1:11-12 and 29-30).
