EMERY ABANDONED BY CANADA

When I was 15, I wrote my first letter to the editor about Marc
Emery's arrest. He e-mailed me and told me to keep writing, saying I
could become a great activist some day. In May 2009, I became one of
the youngest candidates for political office (I ran for the B.C. Green
Party) in this country's history. I couldn't have done it without him.

He has inspired thousands of young people to get involved in
politics.

This man is a hero -- and now, I can say proudly, a friend. What is
happening to him is despicable.
