AND YOU WANT TO COPY OUR DRUG POLICIES?

Sirs, in the story "Inmates finally moved from wing" (21 Sept 2007), 
it mentioned a ..."National prison overcrowding crisis."

We in the United States envy your prison "crisis." You have fewer 
than 80,000 prisoners, we have greater than 2.2 million prisoners. 
One out of every four prisoners in the world is locked in an American 
jail or prison.

We have more than 500,000 imprisoned for just drug crimes and most of 
our violent crime and property crime is caused by our drug 
prohibition policies.

And you want to copy our drug policies?

My advice to Great Britain and the rest of the world, carefully 
observe U.S. drug policies--then do the opposite.

Don't follow us--we're lost.
