TARGETING THE SICK IS ITSELF SICK

Re: the story on the Mid-Island Compassion Club (The News, Jan. 12).

The government is an ass.

If they had any brains they would sell pot at liquor stores, where
it's out of the reach of minors.

The next thing they would do is tax the hell out of it and make so
much money that we probably wouldn't have to worry about extra funding
for our poorly underfunded health care system.

Going after sick people in itself is sick.

Religion says that God created all plants and animals for a purpose.
Why is it then that pot is singled out for persecution??
