GIVE FREE DRUGS TO THE JUNKIES

Re "Needles for free in a jiffy" (Nov. 25).

Free needles and safe-injection sites are all well and good, but we
should bite the bullet and dole out free drugs.

Why? The addicts shoot up with their clean needles then go off into
the night and break into our homes and businesses and smash into our
cars to steal what they can in order to buy the junk they'll shoot up
the next day.

Free drugs would save mulri-thousands of damage.

The junkies in the story didn't sound interested in
stopping.

What a way to live.
