MARINOL IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

Scott Allen presumes to speak for all patients when he stated that Marinol
replaces smoked marijuana. Not so.

When my late partner was undergoing chemotherapy he was prescribed
anti-nausea medication. He went into ana-phylatic shock three times. He was
then given Marinol and had serious side effects. It is not the same as
smoking marijuana.

I was livid when I found out he was smoking marijuana because I am very
anti-drug. Being open-minded, I discovered that a couple of minutes of
smoking marijuana was like a miracle. He lasted way longer than anyone
expected and I attribute that to marijuana and its ability to calm nausea.
How can you get well if you can't eat?

I just think how much longer my father would have lasted had we known the
wonderful medicinal properties of marijuana.
