I'm a retired high-school teacher. For many years, there has been a sincere commitment in the nation's schools to teach the dangers of substance abuse. My colleagues who taught in the secondary and elementary sectors taught the dangers of drug use for their entire careers. To my certain knowledge, the teachers who replaced us continue the practice.
