I don't know much about medical or recreational marijuana use, but I do understand that the gay men depicted seek a kind of fairness the seniors are after in filling their medical prescriptions. We have one life in which to care for ourselves and our loved ones, and we' ll do it with or without the help of our governments. Jonah Goldberg's recent op-ed suggested that gay people in the last 35 years fought merely for a chance to make sexual innuendo on TV sitcoms. One might expect a right-wing ideologue to overlook a history of anti-gay police harassment, religious persecution, discrimination in housing and employment, physical violence in schools and communities and legal rulings intended to deprive gay citizens of family and property. The sad subtext of Joe Heller's cartoon is that, for many Americans, the idea of obtaining a fair deal involves crossing the border. John Olski - --- MAP posted-by: Richard Lake
