NO LAUGHING MATTER

Philip M. Masorti writes, "It only makes sense if you're high" ("Marijuana 
bust also serves as a campaign ad," March 16). I catch the attempt at 
humor, but the fact this is humorous to any in our society is part of the 
problem. It is not funny, specifically because marijuana prohibition, and 
the war on marijuana users, is so tragic.

If Masorti wishes to make me laugh, all he need do is quote politicians on 
the marijuana issue. Their ignorant ranting can keep me laughing for days. 
And, what they usually say is truly pathetic and funny.
