WHY NOT SNIFF SCHOOL OFFICIALS, TOO?

One of your readers recently called for drug-detecting dogs to sniff
students before they entered Surrey schools.

But if, as polls tell us, as many as 20 per cent of adults in this country
engage in recreational marijuana use, then there is a good chance some of
the teaching or janitorial staff might have a doobie or two on their person.

If the dogs are to check the students, then they must also check all staff
using this publicly funded building.

Juveniles must not be the only demographic presumed to be potential
lawbreakers.

It wouldn't hurt to sniff around school board officials against their will
from time to time, either.

After all, if they are not carrying drugs or evidence of same, they have
nothing to worry about. Right?

Mike Stuart,

Hope
