OUR CANNABIS CAFE I recently had a very pleasant visit to the country's first cannabis cafe - The Dutch Experience, in near-by Stockport. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and welcoming. Despite the legal grey area the cafe operates in, and the high profile arrest of the cafe's founder, Colin Davies, the cafe has remained open since September of last year and is proving to be a huge success. With around 12 other cannabis cafes due to open around the country, hopefully it shouldn't be too long before one opens in Oldham. It is not beyond the bounds of possibility that a cannabis cafe could be up and running in this town before Christmas. Presumably, the local Lib-Dem run council would not object to such an establishment, seeing as that party now endorses cannabis legalisation. Providing the location is suitable, I can see no reason why we shouldn't have a cannabis cafe soon in Oldham. GO DUTCH - --- MAP posted-by: Alex
