Unfortunately, it is too little too late. Canada is now officially puppet to big brother U.S. That's how it started in the U.S. A bill like C-24, to fight organized crime, is whipped through. Then, massive sting operations start. Then, marijuana smokers are herded to prison. Airline ticket sales clerks and hotel clerks will be instructed to report cash sales. The ability to seize citizens' assets will become so easy for law enforcement that they will see every citizen as a criminal. That will open the door to massive road blocks and searches. The U.S. will make sure Canadian law enforces their program by looking over their shoulder. U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft said a legal attache from the Justice Department is based in Vancouver and agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. marshals' service are on the way. My friends in Canada, you just opened a can of worms you will not be able to close! Larry W. Seguin Lisbon, N.Y. - --- MAP posted-by: Beth
