There is a problem when the District Attorney and law enforcement have to lie to "win" a conviction. That is why we have lawyers. It took competent lawyers to expose the fact that law enforcement did indeed know that the yield of Kubby's garden was reasonable. The Drug Warriors testified that each plant would yield 3 ounces, a total yield of 49 pounds. Yet, the class notes and scientific studies issued to law enforcement by the Department of Justice and the DEA defined that Kubby's garden would yield approximately 3 pounds. This 3 pound yield was also confirmed by actually weighing the plants. So yes, let's see: is Kubby really innocent or guilty: Hmmm! The cops lie about yields (49 pounds), while the cops' own studies and notes speak the truth (3 pounds). The Kubby's did not "beat the rap." The truth was revealed. Fortunately in America we have a jury system to protect us against propaganda and bigotry similar to Carl's. Perhaps Carl Ladeck should learn the lessons of history. Look at Germany. The corruption of the judicial system through perjury, and propaganda results in tyranny. Michael Baldwin DDS Meadow Vista, CA - --- MAP posted-by: GD
