To the Editor of The LA Times:
Regarding George Skelton's not-so-thoughtful column: "Pro-pot crowd is
pushing a myth" (11-12-15).
I agree that very few are in prison for just marijuana us, however if a
person is on parole or probation
for another crime like shoplifting and they fail a drug test, off to
jail or prison they go.

To the Editor of the Chicago Tribune:
I totally agree with Lawrence Hartman's thoughtful letter: "Legalizing
drugs will stop the killing" (11-13-15).
The United States has very little drug related crime. What we have is
drug probation caused crime. End the
drug prohibition and we end the vast majority of our crime.

To the Editor of The Daily Record:
I'm writing about your thoughtful editorial: "LEGALIZE MARIJUANA IN NEW
JERSEY" (11-14-15).
It seems to me that all New Jersey adults should have the freedom of
choice to use cannabis--not just those who need it to treat disease.
Cannabis not only relieves pain and suffering, but it also prevents many
diseases such as cancer and Alzheimer's. Cannabis is one of the most
powerful anti-inflammatory substances on the planet, and chronic
inflammation is the root cause of most diseases of the human body.
I strongly urge the readers to read: "The Pot Book: A Complete Guide to
Cannabis: Its role in Medicine, Politics, Science and Culture." It is
edited by Julie Holland, M.D.
I also strongly urge the readers to read: Marijuana: Gateway to Health:
How Cannabis Protects Us From Cancer and Alzheimer's Disease" by Clint
Werner

Subj: 004 LTE: Florida Medical Marijuana Plan Expanded To 20 Growers
From: John Chase <>

Editors, Bradenton Herald -
Expanding from 5 to 20 is a step in the right direction, but not nearly
enough. The first dozen states to legalize pot as medicine all allowed
personal home growing, the feature responsible for the rapid collapse of
the street market and its attendant violence. In those 12 states the
homicide rate dropped 40% as compared to the 38 states where marijuana
was still illegal. There is no serious research yet on CO and WA, where
recreational marijuana is legal, but medical marijuana results are
conclusive.
