To the Editor of The Washington Post:
Thanks for publishing Danielle Greene's thoughtful letter: "Stop asset
forfeiture now" (11-25-14).
The idea of our government officials stealing crime suspects money and
assets should be
repugnant to every American. Making someone prove their innocents is
offensive.
If governments continue this practice, we should pack up the Statue of
Liberty and send it
back to France and stop calling the United States of free country.
