Hello out there. This is David's daughter Lindsey writing on his behalf.
My father has been thrown in jail for a year for driving without a license.
He has been harassed by these same police officers for years now and now
they have finally found a way to get rid of my father. He was sentenced by
the same judge who threw a girl in jail for 8 years after she lost her legs
in a drunk driving accident. He didn't send her to a hospital, no nono he
sent her to prison. This is also the same judge who was the family lawyer
for the family that my father reported for pesticide dumping on their
property. Please spread the word about this grave injustice. My father
needs your help right now, after he spend thousands of hours trying to help
others. His liver pain is very bad so I don't know what he'll do. If you
could write to him at
PO Box 429
Shell Lake, WI 54871
He would really appreciate that. Get the word out and help him! I can be
reached at
Thank you
Lindsey

Lindsey,
I just sent a Christmas card along to your dad-- he has been so helpful to
me in my letter-writing efforts since I started working with MAP (almost 2
years ago) that I had to send him a show of my support. And all you MAPtalk
subscribers out there-- we can't afford to have Dave sidelined for long.
Let's show our support and do what we can to help him out!

Just a note from the Campaign for the Restoration & Regulation of Hemp to
wish all cannabis freedom fighters out there a Happy Solstice week, a Merry
Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Great Ramadan, a Cheerful Kwanzaa, a
Delightful Diwali, a Wonderful Los Posadas, a Happy New Year, and, of
course, a Glorious New Millennium!
This goes out to all the freedom fighters, but especially those we have
lost this year, those who are imprisoned for cannabis, or facing the threat
of incarceration to tell the truth to power about God's greatest gift to
mankind, the plant that will save the planet, cannabis hemp. People like
Peter McWilliams, Todd McCormick, Jim Rosenfield, Rufas King, Renee Boje,
Grant Krieger, Scott Beldsoe, Steve & Michelle Kubby, Ed Forchion, Woody
Harrelson, Lynn Harichy, Roger Christie, Laura Kriho, Alex White Plume and
family, Hazel Rodgers, Marvin Chavez, B.E. Smith and all the persecuted
medical marijuana patients, the struggling Rastas and all the unnamed
multitude that have faced cannabis arrests, persecution and torture for
their commitment to standing for freedom!
Here's a holiday gift, my favorite quote, written by Thomas Paine on
December 23, 1776: "These are the times that try men's souls. The summer
soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the
service of their country; but he that stands it NOW, deserves the love and
thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet
we have this consolation with us, the harder the conflict, the more
glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it
is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a
proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial
an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated."
Peace, respect and thanks! We shall overcome.
Best regards,
D. Paul Stanford
CRRH is working to regulate and tax the sale of cannabis to adults like
alcohol, allow doctors to recommend cannabis through pharmacies and restore
the unregulated production of industrial hemp.

Notice that it's his dealings with the court that seem to be interfering
with his ability to act. He was probably buzzing while on the set of Ally
McBeal. It apparently doesn't affect his acting abilities negatively. Of
course, I know we're all aware of that, but I guess it's a matter of
perspective.
